Location
I'm in OH, but I have no preference to what state it is in. We'll get to that later, I imagine. For now I consider any state or province within reason as long as it is actually east of where I am (excluding Chicago).

Month
I will likely be most busy during June, so any time in July or August is the best bet.

Days
Weekends would be optimal. If I could choose, maybe Thursday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday. Weekdays aren't that good but I suppose if all else fails I can just take them all off work.

Activities
I think we should stay in or very close to a major city where there will be lots of activities to do nearby. All of the things you mentioned sound great but camping might be more of hassle than just going to a cheap hotel. Amusement parks would be great but that shouldn't be the focus except for maybe 1 day. Something like swimming would be cool too but more difficult to arrange in relation to location. Another fun thing would be a concert, but it would be hard to pick something everyone likes.

Funds
I am pretty confident I'll be able to pay for any random activities in addition to lodging and transportation. Movies, bowling, arcades, food, whatever. Maybe we could consider bring our own food to some extent so we wouldn't have to eat out. If everyone brought something or bought something there and we shared at the hotel it may save some monies for people without a lot of waste.
