I think we will actually be needing some country alliances (that is to say, if we want a nations cup to be a bit more colourful than the Netherlands vs Poland over and over again), since you need 4 active players per country at the very least (no, not 3, definitely 4; there is always a player who can't make it, who forgets about the game, who had something unexpected come up, you name it; just 3 players in a team is almost guaranteed to result in mass forfeits).
