EU2007 - Survey for those considering attending

So, yeah. We're quite much behind the AMERICANS, since anticipation for this even has been much lower which has made me not feel forced to do anything! Well, anyways:

Please only answer this if you really, totally and fabulously think you could be coming. The event is taking place in the Brussels region in the summer holidays of 2007.

1. What are the chances of you attending?

2. Which of the following timeframes would suit you best?
  • First half of June (Most likely not going to take place then, since I'll be working and some people won't be free then. Listed as backup.)
  • Later half of June
  • First half of July
  • Later half of July
  • First half of August
2.1 How many days would you want to stay? 1-7.

2.2 (Optional) Do you have a more exact date suggestion?

3. Are you OK with going camping instead of staying in a hotel (massively cheaper)?

3.1 (If you answered yes) Would you mind sharing a tent?

3.2 If you live close, could you bring a tent with you? How many people fit in to it?

3.3 Do you have a camping place in the Brussels area to suggest?

4. Would you be bringing other people? (Mostly if you're bringing people who aren't "regulars" in this community, etc.)

5. Any other comments/questions?

I know this is late, but we will still make it happen!

The deadline for answers is 5th of February, 2007.

Deadline extended for, eh, FUN.

1. Unknown. Depends on if I'm in NL or somewhere else at the time and my monetary situation at the time (it's quite dynamic).

2. They all work equally well for me so far.

2.1 I'm fine with any length. I think personally 7 days might be rather long but who knows. If it bores me too much I'll just go home

2.2 No.

3. Yes. If people don't make too much of a mess out of it, it might be fun.

3.1. Yes, probably. I have a health problem and I do not 1. want to disturb people with its consequences and 2. do not want my health to be disturbed.

3.2. Yes. 2 people but see 3.1.

3.3. No.

4. No.

5. NO

1. What are the chances of you attending?
Would I miss one of these things? Would I?

2. Which of the following timeframes would suit you best?
  • First half of June - Fine.
  • Later half of June - Fine.
  • First half of July - Fine.
  • Later half of July - Fine.
  • First half of August - Only the first few days.

2.1 How many days would you want to stay? 1-7.
A longer stay would be awesome, but would cost monies.

3. Are you OK with going camping instead of staying in a hotel (massively cheaper)?
Yay for cheaper options!

3.1 (If you answered yes) Would you mind sharing a tent?
No, so long as I don't have to share it with a massive drunk who throws up inside the tent.

3.2 If you live close, could you bring a tent with you? How many people fit in to it?
N/A

3.3 Do you have a camping place in the Brussels area to suggest?
La Grand Place.

4. Would you be bringing other people?
I doubt it.

5. Any other comments/questions?
I've given up air travel this year, so getting there will require a bit more organization than usual. So deciding things as far in advance as possible would be greatly appreciated.

1. What are the chances of you attending?

Depends on the date a bit. Well, if the date is working out for me, lets say 95%

  • Later half of June - No
  • First half of July - No
  • Later half of July - No
  • First half of August - Yes:P
2.1 How many days would you want to stay? 1-7.

YES SURE!

3.1 (If you answered yes) Would you mind sharing a tent?

Sure not :P Hey sexy

3.2 If you live close, could you bring a tent with you? How many people fit in to it?

I can bring a tent most likely. 2. (me and some other ;P)

3.3 Do you have a camping place in the Brussels area to suggest?

..I have never been there before really, so no.

4. Would you be bringing other people? (Mostly if you're bringing people who aren't "regulars" in this community, etc.)

No :P

5. Any other comments/questions?

Not really so far, maybe later

Not exactly, but since there haven't been many other suggestions after Yasco? suggested Brussels I decided it should be held atleast in the general Brussels area; possibly outside of the Brussels-Capital Region if we don't find a camping place there.

I withdraw myself from the "people-considering-to-attend"-list...
Exams at July 27th and August 16th, plus 2.5 weeks of vacation inbetween make it rather impossible for me to come. Only the first half of July remains for me then, since I've got exams during all June.

Well, transport to Brussels, which I don't really know how much it'd cost to you since I've no idea where you live. That's pretty much the biggest part of it, you could always eat very cheap food and the camping isn't much monies.

So, maybe something like around 200 to 320 euros, depending on where you live.

I have sad news (or maybe not so sad after all).

I cannot attend because I lack cash... furthermore, I'll be working this summer.

(I'm not sure if ANY meeting at all is going to take place in Europe since there weren't any replies since my last post, but I might as well notify you all anyway.)

Yeah, well, there obviously isn't going to be that meeting this thread proposed. There however was an one-day meeting about a month ago.
