The previous page had almost no screenshots. And that's what this topic is for. Not for talking about how good the level names are. I'll post some screenshots soon.

![]() ![]() This level will probably be released as a single level before I upload my levelpack 'Serious Emergencies'. I still need to finish one level of that pack because I wasn't too proud of a Battle level from that pack. |

The name for P4ul's level is fine, it's this arguement about it going on that's the sad thing imo.
and yeah, my post is a page late but who cares \o/.

I'm currently making a new Level Pack for JJ2. I will call it "Super Jazz Brothers 3."
This will probably take MONTHS! Tileset I am using is "SMB3: Grass land." It's gonna be like the classic Mario games. It will have LOADS of levels. I think about 30 or maybe even 40+ levels. No screenshots right now. Last edited by SPAZ18; Jul 12, 2006 at 06:29 AM. |

I've been at the level-making game on and off for several years now, ever since the game came out in '98. As such, I still refuse to use the new tilesets. Here's the level I am working on (obviously needs some eyecandy work) which I'd say is 20% complete. I'm in no hurry to finish, see?

To be honest, making the official tilesets "Forbidden" by saying that they're overused just makes them extrememly underused.
Something thats never made sense to me- So a tileset is "overused", so the (-) what? Just because a tileset is underused doesn't make the level any better, and an 'overused' tileset doesn't make a level any worse. |

Why, that's pure balderdash. The game creators intended them to be used, and by God, I'll use them for as long as I want. As far as I'm conserned, the only tileset makers you can really trust compeletely are the ones who made the game in the first place. Simply balderdash.
And like I said, it needs some work. And by "some" I mean "quite a bit", and by "quite a bit" I mean "quite a bit". Which means it's not done. And I just saw this thread so I decided to show what I was doing. And stuff... Grr, you guys make me SO mad sometimes....! |

Not really. The game has grown so apart from the game maker's original intentions. Just compare Diamondus Warzone to Distopia or Semiconductor. The fact is, the community's idea of what is good is different then the game makers. The same goes for tilesets. Tilesets are expected to have working water, snow, pinball events, the works. Plus all destruct scenery, et cetera. Eyecandy galore, transitions between ground and background. I could go on.
Official tilesets are nice, but claiming that there is no need to use player made tilesets just is over the top. |
