And giving Orbitz another chance is too dangerous for the server lists as we know it. As for Orbitz being 11, I'm sure his parents would love to see what he has been doing on this community. |

If his ban time is up (I'm still not entirely sure that it is, because I don't know the details of any bypassing or reoffending), the originally agreed upon conditions have been met and he should be unbanned. Don't change the conditions without consulting others. If he reoffends, it is easy enough to ban again.

Flooding, renaming, and doing other such things in my server today is not a good way to show that you are sorry though. If I hear of you doing more than that, you're likely to find yourself banned again.

Think about things for a moment. You got banned because you repeatedly and wilfully crashed JJ2 servers. Now the ban period has passed, and while one list server has not released your ban, the others have. And some of the forum administration (and list server administration) think the remaining ban should be lifted. To turn round and threaten them is not a good move. |

Orbitz is sux when it comes to hacking. He doesn't even know how to modify packets. All he does is use pre-built programs by Spazzyman to take down servers.
Other than that he should stay away from the list servers before I try to bluescreen his computer. I think he should stay banned. Do you?

ASD relies mainly on the longname crash exploit, so if it is edited then filters are pretty much useless.

Orbitz would have to be desperate beyond plausibility to want what you people think he wants, after all the time and effort spent on his part trying to lift his final ban.

Seriously, people. Doing this is not the answer. Orbitz is blocked from Nimrod's servers, which are used by the majority of the people AFAIK, so we're fine. |

I dont get it, why do you want him back.
If you want jj2 to die, just tell me in my face, don't do it this way. I'm not playing jj2 for fun anymore if my jj2 crashes every 5 minutes. I'm off. On the "get that whatever program which doesnt let me crash" no - Norton internet security blocks it. Gratz for taking the fun out of jj2. |

Theoretically, excessively used Fire/Lighting Shields are capable of crashing a server just like the Laser Shield. Theoretically.

If you want Orbit'z back, the only person you need to convience is Monolith.
Monolith, dispite having Orbitz come in and abuse his own jj2 server (Battle Server) is still refusing to reable the ban on his list server Madskills. Dispite people using my list server, all the games in progress are forwarded to Monolith's list, and vice versa. So providing just one list doesnt have Orbitz banned, he can join everyones games no matter what list there hosted on. It's clear Orbitz hasnt changed, and anyone defending him should quite frankly should get there head checked. I'm getting close to the stage where I'm getting sick of the network idea, and would sooner forceably remove Orbitz (aka, stop mirroring with Madskills), but hopefully Monolith will see the light soon enough. But the moment I do that, J2o would start a war against me (most likely try and get users to update there jj2 to not use my list server). So, I ask of you lot sick of Orbitz to convience Monolith to renable the ban, and help maintain the network by doing so. ![]() Last edited by Nimrod; Jan 21, 2006 at 08:35 AM. |

So much for the illusion of a listserver network with communication and clear rules between the listserver operators. You agreed to those rules, Nimrod, and badmouthing Monolith for following the rules you created with your listserver network instead of breaking them like you wish to do, is silly. You cannot at one time aim snarky comments ("Monolith, dispite having Orbitz come in and abuse his own jj2 server (Battle Server) is still refusing to reable the ban on his list server Madskills.") at the co-operator of the listservers and work together with him.
I'm not defending anyone here, and I object to the notion some spread that anyone who defends transparency and honesty and clear rules is defending anyone. I have not had any good experience debating on these issues, ever, or being correctly represented in replies (usually people just throw in Straw Men in reply to my points on this topic), so I won't bother to reply to any points made in reply to this. BTW, I would think Monolith is the only one who can confirm his server crashed. No single shred of evidence has been provided in this thread, too.
