I don't know but I heard rumors that JCS for 1.24 load slow when it comes to Tilesets.

I found out what are you talking about.

My dad's computer (400 Mhz with 64 MB) loads JCS for 1.24 too slow,

but my computer (500 Mhz with 192 MB) runs fine with no slow downs.

Anyone know why it loads too slow on some computers?

My 1.24 JCS is slow too.

I have a pentium II 300.

I don't use it anymore.

I always use 1.23 JCS now.

So there is a requirement between 64 MB and 192 MB of RAM.

I'd say 128MB. We need more feedback to find the real requirements that won't cause slowdowns.

JCS for TSF can use larger values.

I.e: Tilesets can be about 4 times as big as 1.23's.

When I had it with 160 MB RAM and a processor somewhere between 400 and 500 it was a bit slow...

TSF's JCS is *not slow* and *never* crashes on my two and a half year old PII-400 MHz, 128 MB RAM machine.

ElectroPizza, i still have some copies of TSF left. My price is 15 US Dollars.

Ok. I also tried it on my dad's other computer.

It's 400Mhz and it's 96 MB. and it loads JCS for 1.24 just fine, but a neeny-beeby-bit of slowdowns.

So then I tried running THREE Jazz2.exe windows at the same time and ran JCS for 1.24 again. Yes, it did run a bit slow. And everytime I change a tileset, it takes like 8 seconds to load another one.

So maybe the least requirements is like about 96MB, and run it without many programs opened. And I don't think the CPU's speed matters... well, maybe it does; Intel Pentium II and over deals with memory faster than older Pentium classes.

Ha, when I first got it, it wouldn't load at ALL.

Most people who were around when the TSF was first revealed as *it* and first found out about it's new features prolly remember that the TSF TCS can handle mucho bigger tilesets and stuff, and that really can eat up your memory. THAT is why, so nyah.
