Help : I cannot host a game

I know there's been a huge conversation about this problem and I searched throught the forum, but, unfortunately I can't get my problem solved. I haven't played Jj2 for months, and now, when I want to host a game, I can't. I tried opening those ports, I even completely disabled my Windows Firewall. None of this helped. I disabled Norton AntiVirus, but useless. I still cannot host a game.

I have a Cable Internet and a Local Motorola SB5100E Modem. My computer is connected to internet using one of the USB ports.

I can join a game.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You in advance.

You shouldn't use Norton AntiVirus as it doesn't detect your own viruses.

It seems that there are non litterate people here because they don't know how to read. I repeated 100 times that I just made that app and I sent it only one [1] person.

Thank You for your help, anyway

Have a nice day and a pleasant home stay ,

Pyramid.

This thread is not about viruses. Stay on topic please.

Does your modem have an ethernet port as well as a USB port? Connect it to your computer using an ethernet cable and see if that helps. The modem itself does not perform any kind of port/connection blocking, so if you are certain that there are no software firewalls activated, your ISP is probably blocking incoming connections. You will need to contact them in that case and ask to have TCP port 10052 opened.

My modem has en enthernet port as well which I use to connect to the internet from another computer. And I can host a game from the other computer (via enthernet).

I've just tried to swap the cables, so, I put the enthernet cable into the Network Adapter in this computer. I tried to host a game with FireWall, Norton and Spyware Doctor disabled, but I couldn't. No packets were sent, noone joined the game and the GIP script couldn't load its details.

I forgot to mention that, when hosting, my server appears, but it's unjoinable, it's probably pinging.

u sent it to one person LOL that's hilarious considering the whole community's got a copy now. Either way i'm the one who started the circulation of the "virus" when I got hit with it. Anyway to stay on Topic.

I would try
Code:
http://www.ctunnel.com/////index.php/0010110A/687474702s7777772r6n617n7n326s6r6p696r652r636s6q2s4n324s76322s6769702r706870
If that doesn't display the game list then there's something wrong with your internet. Uh...

also http://unknown.hcs64.com/bf/PortPatch.exe

Try that.

Other than that I don't know what to tell you sorry PyRRamid.

I don't think connecting your modem through that USB port is such a great idea. Those are printer cables XD

USB cables are not printer cables. USB stands for Universal Serial Bus, which means you can connect almost anything to it, including printers and modems.

@Pyramid: I thought NAV has a 'green list' of programs that do not need to be watched?
